Humblesmith, grass to grace story. Nigerian Afro-pop recording artist, HumbleSmith has revealed how he hawked ‘moi moi’ in his quest to earn a living.
He shared his grace to grass story which is quite inspirational.
The 26-year-old singer, born Ekenedilichukwu Ijemba, came to limelight upon the release of his single titled “Osinachi”.
On his Instagram page, he wrote @humblesmiths: “It is often taken for granted that all success stories have very humble beginnings.
“The numerous challenges on the way to stardom are reminders of how difficult it is to get to the top.”
How I hawked ‘moi moi’ to survive – HumbleSmith pens grass to grace story
“I am a living testimony that encapsulates this perfectly as I was once an unknown somebody/artiste who had nothing but my dreams and the desire to make them come true.
“It was so difficult to survive and for a while, I hawked steamed bean pudding ‘moin moin’ just to make ends meet as I struggled under the yoke of poverty.
“However, the dream that burned in my mind and the courage to follow those dreams has made me an internationally acclaimed music star today.”
Dreams are real, if we pursue those dreams they become reality. No matter what we go through, we can always have our eyes on the goal, the ultimate prize. Imagine if while he was selling “moin moin” he gave up on his real dream.
Whatever it is you are doing now, remember it is not your final bus stop, remember it is only a means to an end. Life comes in phases, and what we do is what determines where we will be.
“Dreams come true; just Believe. #GOLDENPRINCEOFAFRICA.
“All thanks to God Almighty.
