Big Brother Naija, Coco Ice, music. A former contestant in the ongoing Big Brother Nigeria Reality Show, Coco Ice, says she had to come down to the level of Nigerians so her music can sell.
According to Coco Ice, her kind of music is not Nigerian.
Coco Ice who attained fame from her stint at the Big Brother Naija house before her eviction, hinted that she will like to do a collaboration with the likes of Falz and Olamide.
In a recent interview, the light-skinned rapper said “My style of rap I would say, used to be very Hip Hop but I had to come down to the level of Nigerians because I am selling it to Nigerians but I am actually looking at the global market.

“But to start with, I am a Yoruba rapper. I don’t want to put myself in that box but I am indigenous.”
On upcoming acts, she said, “Breaking out is difficult. It takes a lot of hard work, prayer, God and persistence.
‘If you are trying to do stuff and they are not working out; be it your music, business, careers or a path you have chosen, it is always difficult especially when you don’t have the financial capability to push it through.
“Even if you have the financial capability to push it through, sometimes, it happens that you just have to keep proving yourself to people.”
Speaking on her role models, she said, “I like Nicki Minaj. I like the way she raps and the way she delivers her lyrics.

She went further to talk about competition in the music industry which she tagged healthy and unhealthy.
