Popular singer, Kcee, has finally explained why he ‘stole’ someone else’s dollar photo and posted on Instagram as though he owns it. The Five Star Music front-line act stirred up a brouhaha on social media about 4 months ago after an Instagram user exposed him, saying he stole and used his dollar pictures to deceive Nigerians. Kcee finally opens up.
If you missed the gist, it all started after the ‘Limpopo’ crooner posted some wads of dollar bills that didn’t belong to him on his Instagram page.
Kcee finally opens up
A social media user @vvs_uno, called out the singer on Instagram. According to @vvs_Uno, Kcee screenshot wads of dollars and paraded it as though it was his, meanwhile, @vvs_uno had posted his own (same photo) since February, but the dollar bills in the photos were identical.
Here’s what @vvs_Uno wrote:
“Bro, stop screenshotting my money… thirsty an lame, just go get ah bag.”
The user tagged the singer in the comment section.
Kcee swiftly blocked comments on the post but social media users, especially Twitter owned the fight at the time.
A Twitter user, K E H I N D E @Mr_khenny tweeted:
“Lord this week Gimme my own money Don’t let me fall into the temptation of posting money pictures from the internet like KCEE.”
For We Are Many @_highmarcus: “So if KCEE can do this, who am I impressing?”
Jacinta Aisha @jessymoh55: “First it was oge okoye stealing someone’s dog pic, now it’s Kcee stealing someone’s money pic. Nigerian celebs SMH.”
Naija Boy @OsasCruz: “Just Like Oge Okoye, Kcee Caught Stealing Dollar Pics of Body Else on Instagram. Some Nigerian celebs are too desperate to look relevant.”
However, shortly after the ‘dollar theft’ saga, Kcee, who probably wanted to cover up for the mess, posted a video clip on his Instagram page. He was seen pulling out bundles of naira notes from a polyethene bag. He captioned the video: ”#wegoparty #desire #romanticall #tender #fivestargeneral”
Fast forward to present…Kcee was a guest on Rubbin Minds hosted by Ebuka and he had this to say about the fake dollar post on Instagram. See the video below…
