Nigerian singer, born Johnson- Hunga Oyindamola Emmanuel but popularly known by his stage name, Dammy Krane is set to appear in the United States Court for trial on 1 August, 2017. For a while, there’s been no update on the arrest, release and trial but his last appearance in court was on 23 July 2017, although, the media didn’t get any update on how the case went. Krane’s new date for trial in court was made known by the Miami-Dade County Criminal Justice Online System.

Dammy Krane to appear in US court for trial on August 1st
The singer will appear for trial at 9:15am on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Justice Building, Room 4-3 with Courtney Erikas his defense attorney and Migiel De La Oas the judge.
Recall that Krane was arrested and booked on the 2nd of June in the US for grand theft, credit card fraud and Identity fraud but was released on bail a few days after he pleaded not guilty to the charges and met his bail condition that was set at $7,500. After the news of his arrest made the rounds, Krane blamed his promoter for the mess, and assured his fans that he was innocent, even though 7 fake credit cards were found in his wallet.
Following his release, he posted a video on Youtube to address the whole theft scandal during which he apologized to his family, fans and friends over his recent arrest and detention.

After his arrest, reports made the rounds that the singer was kicked out of the record label – Hypertek, which brought him to limelight about two years ago and ever since then, he had been searching for sponsors to help with his career. His exit from the record label was reportedly silent because it was felt that it was not good for both the image of the singer and the record label.
