Nigerian singer, born Abiye David Jumbo, popularly known by his stage name, Mr 2Kay, who was reportedly robbed at gunpoint in his hotel room at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos State, has spoken after the incident. Mr 2kay speaks after robbery.
Recall that the singer’s manager, Grafton had revealed that the sad incident happened at about 11pm on Sunday, October 22, 2017, during the Buckwyld and Breathless concert where he also performed.

According to him, the robbers, numbering four, gained access into Mr 2Kay’s room after he mistook one of them for the hotel attendants. They were said to have forced their way into his room and waved a gun with threats to shoot him if he made a noise. The singer was in the room with a friend. When the robbers gained access into his room, he reportedly struggled with one of the robbers, as the others punched and hit him with a gun, repeatedly warning that they will shoot if he doesn’t calm down. In his first social media post since the ugly incident, Mr 2kay says, ‘There is more to what the eyes can see’.
Here’s what he wrote in full: “I’m grateful to everyone that reached out to me and I appreciate your love and concern. I still need your prayers as I look forward to greater days ahead. There is more to what the eyes can see, but when you have God you are always covered. May God grant all our heart desires. Amen,” he added.
