So much controversies have been trailing the top category award singer, Wizkid bagged at the just concluded BET Awards 2017. The popular music star, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid, won the highly coveted “Best International Act: Africa” at the 2017 BET Awards. This is the second time the singer has won in this category, after going home with the award along with Sarkodie in 2012. The Starboy boss came ahead of the stiff competition comprising of Davido, Mr Eazi, Tekno and other African contemporaries including Stonebwoy, Nasty C, Babes Wodumo and AKA at the annual ceremony held in Los Angeles, California on Saturday. The 2017 nomination happens to be the first for both Tekno and Mr Eazi after putting out impressive singles in 2016.

According to reports, Nasty C was reportedly announced the winner of the award by accident last week but BET made sure to apologise for what they referred to as a “glitch”.
Wizkid was unavailable to collect his award, but the Star Boy is currently having the time of his life with the traction he has been gaining in the international music scene as he also bagged seven nominations for 2017 Billboard Music Awards. He won three Billboard awards and won an award for writing Drake’s “One Dance”.
Well, while all these went up, Tekno Miles took to his Instagram page to probably give himself more courage instead of complaining over his lose. He shared a photo which he captioned: “Time will tell.” His comment generated a lot of controversial statements from his followers.
The Pana crooner has been doing great since he rose to limelight and some persons say they are still supersized how wizkid conquered them all.
