Franklin also disclosed meanwhile, that he just signed three new artistes and would be unveiling them soon.
Recall that MMMG signee, Augustine Miles Kelechi aka Tekno, flew to New York earlier in the year to sign an international deal with the giant Sony Music.
Although both parties have repeatedly refused to disclose the deal’s worth, we gathered that the deal is said to be worth $4m.
Also, Tekno Miles is in bed with Paul Okoye of Upfront and Personal and no doubt, Tekno shows flashes of his brilliance in every wise as he has soon become a hot cake internationally.
Tekno was first signed under K-Money Entertainment.
His first single titled “Holiday” was released under the imprint. With featured vocals from Davido, “Holiday” was positively accepted and gained massive airplay.
In 2012 while in Abuja, Tekno was spotted by renowned Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu at an event after he received a standing ovation following the performance of a song titled “Onye Ne Kwu”, his remix of Ice Prince’s “Oleku”.
It was at the same event he met Iyanya and Ubi Franklyn who he became friends with.
Ubi and Iyanya eventually encouraged Tekno to move to Lagos to further his music career.
On October 5, 2013, he signed a music contract with Made Men Music Group under which he released singles like “Dance” and “Anything” which won him a nomination in the “Best New act of the Year” category at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Fast forward to now….But Franklin said he has made moves to avoid being left in the lurch.
In a recent chat, he said, “It is safe to posit that all artistes in Nigeria dream of signing international record deals.
“Even though some acts have succeeded in this regard, it doesn’t always come with good news.
“Most times, it leads to dissolution of partnerships and breakups between former best buddies; think D’banj and Don Jazzy.
“I am confident I wouldn’t fall into that trap.
“I read the contract properly. It took me about seven weeks to go through the contract with my lawyers; internationally and locally.
“I had to expunge some things and also include some clauses. There is nothing to worry about.
I spend a lot of money without noise, Davido is my boy – MC Galaxy
“In music business, there are times when you would never be happy and there are times when you would be happy so you have to mix and manage both.

“Tekno’s rise is simply as a result of hard work, prayers and perseverance.
“Some people pray and they don’t work hard but if you pray and work hard, it will happen for you.”
The record label boss also hinted that he has plans to diversify into the movie industry.
Franklin said, “I am actually doing a lot of TV and movie productions right now.
“They wouldn’t necessarily feature my wife though; it depends on who fits the role.”
