The Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fimihan Adeoye, on Monday paraded a 29-year-old man, identified as Kehinde Ariyo, who allegedly raped an 85-year-old woman in Ilesa area of the state. Suspect who raped 85-year-old woman.
The Commissioner, while parading the suspect at the State Police headquarters, said the old woman sustained serious injury when she was being raped by the suspect, before she passed out. He further disclosed that the woman was later resuscitated at a hospital and responding to treatment.

Suspect who raped 85-year-old woman
In his confession, the suspect said the woman offered him a place to sleep in her house till morning, after he pleaded with her that he needs a place to sleep in since he was coming from a night party.
He said, “In the night, I went to the room where the woman slept and told her that I needed to tell her something. I told her to open her door and she did. I cannot remember other things. I just know that it was not more than two rounds and I know it was the work of Satan.”
In a similar development, recall that a 22-year-old girl identified as Tina Rebecca Sunday, allegedly killed her uncle in Enugu State for attempting to rape her. Rebecca, who hails from Ikot Udobang Ukanafon in Akwa Ibom State, had been living with her deceased uncle at Ezilo Street, Independence Layout, Enugu until Thursday when the incident happened.

According to the report which was contained in a statement by the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Ebere Amaraizu, the girl claimed that her uncle, Friday Matthew, who was about 48 years old was fond of making sexual advances to her which she declined.
