
Self acclaimed President of ‘Frustrated Nigerian’, Charly Boy, has announced the suspension of the #ResumeOrReturn protest. The suspension comes after he was almost lynched yesterday (Tuesday) by some pro-Buhari traders at the Wuse market, Abuja, where he had gone to mobilize more Nigerians to join the protest against President Muhammadu Buhari. I have suspended my protest – Charly Boy.
Charly Boy, aka Area Fada made this known at the Unity fountain, Abuja on Wednesday.

According to him, “We are not deterred by the intimidation and harassment by the sponsored thugs and we cannot be cowed by a few group of people. What government want to do is to ensure that we have a clash with the hired crowd and we will not allow that to happen.
“A new date would be communicated for the resumption of our protest,” the maverick singer noted.
Recall that tragedy was averted on Tuesday after Charly Boy was attacked in Wuse Market by angry protesters who are believed to be supporters of the president. Based on eyewitness reports, “Charley Boy came to this market with some cameramen doing his protest here. I was standing in front of my shop when I saw him running for his dear life, being chased by those youth. They nearly lynched him, because those youth almost overpowered police security near him.”

The musician was rescued by security operatives who fired gunshots and teargas to disperse the crowd and later returned to remove Charly Boy’s vehicles from the market. Read up full gist HERE.
