Imo Poly student confesses
A 26-year-old student of Imo State Polytechnic, identified as Johnbosco Ashiegbu, and his accomplice, 34-year-old Chinonso Ewurum, have been arrested by the state police command for allegedly stealing two vehicles which included a N19m Hilux van which belongs to the Oguta Local Government Area, LGA of Imo State. Imo Poly student confesses.
The suspects were said to have sold the vehicle to one Nnamdi Ejinkeonye in Onitsha, Anambra State, for N300,000. The other vehicle, a Toyota Camry, was stolen by the suspects in the Imo Housing Estate axis of Owerri, where it was parked by its owner.

According to the police, the Toyota Camry, valued at N3.9m, was sold to Ejinkeonye for N350,000.

Following their arrests, Ashiegbu confessed to the crime, saying he took to the crime so as to raise money to sort out his results in school.

Here’s what he said, “My desire to sort out my results in school led me into crime. After arranging my results in school, I used the remaining money to live a good life and to take care of my girlfriend,” the suspect added.
Meanwhile, the suspects are cooling their heels in police detention while investigation is still ongoing.
