Some Nigerians, particularly social media users have reacted to the fire incident at the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu.
The fire reportedly razed a section of the palace in Iga Iduganran area of Lagos Island on Tuesday.
Officials of Lagos state fire service were said to have been deployed to the palace to put out the inferno.
Meanwhile, the monarch was taken to a safe place to safety.
The real cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be established but many Nigerians are alleging that the gods of Yoruba land are angry with him.
This is probably so because the incident is coming barely a week after the Oba publicly shunned the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
The action that generated a lot of tongue-lashing on Twitter.

A viral video showing the Oba Of Lagos refusing to greet the Ooni Of Ife caused uproar on social media last week
In the 25 seconds video, the Ooni of Ife was seen arriving the venue of the event which had the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu II, sitting beside an unidentified oba.
The Ooni walked over to greet the obas, but as soon as he offered the Oba of Lagos his hands, Oba Akiolu looked away and dismissed him with a wave of the hand.

So, the embarrassed monarch quietly returned to his seat.
Many Nigerians believed the Oba of Lagos insulted the Ooni of Ife with the gesture.
However, others felt there was no big deal in it.
One Tunde Awoyeni claimed that the palace would invoke the wrath of his ancestors on the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu.
But the Ooni in his reaction reportedly denied planning to curse Oba Akiolu.
